The TRUE Cost of "Cap and Trade"

Documenting the coming economic collapse, thanks to Obama and "global warming."

Cap and tax delayed until September July 9, 2009

Michelle Malkin reports:

Evidence that the global warming zealots are feeling the heat: The Senate Democrats have decided to delay action on cap-and-tax until after the August recess.

Your calls and faxes are not in vain. Keep it up:

The primary U.S. Senate committee responsible for writing climate change legislation will delay its work until September, Senate Environment and Public Works Committee Chairman Barbara Boxer said on Thursday.

Boxer, who earlier this week said she wanted her committee to finish writing its portion of legislation mandating reductions in carbon dioxide emissions before an early August recess, told reporters that instead, “We’ll do it as soon as we get back” in September.

The delay could be a setback to President Barack Obama, who wants quick congressional action on a climate change bill.

This is GLORIOUS NEWS.  But that doesn’t mean we can sit back and relax.  Contact the Senate.  Keep telling them this is a bill that will hurt the economy, hurt American families, fail to make any significant impact, and is based on faulty, politically-driven science.

Without the entire world supportting this initiative we are just throwing money away. I am talking about China and India that told us to Jump in the lake. The cost to Americans would be huge. $3K per family per year is low balling the real cost. CBO hasn’t scored it yet. Mr. Obama needs to cut with the flowerly speeches and give us the facts: exactly how much this thing will cost. Obama himself said that Electricity prices will skyrocket. Maybe the gutless media will now ask him what he meant by this. I really think he it all wrong. We should be going ahead with Flex Fuel cars and Sugarcane based Ethanol instead of the unsafe battery operated clown cars which may or may not work.
